Imagery from my series ‘Conjunction’ (2018) is featured within Folium Publishing’s latest release; ‘The Scaffold’. The publication brings together twenty-one artists for a study on construction, from internal rigging and support structures to temporal and digital networks that govern the everyday. My photographs within the book explore more specifically the subtle similarities between learning spaces and science-fiction archetypes.
The edition of 150 books is now available after launching on the 24th November in Camberwell, London. Enclosed within a hand-dyed paper slipcase is a vast range of artworks by multi-disciplinery practitioners. Creative essays lie beside conceptual photography, each bringing to the publication their own specific commentary on the structurally oriented theme.
‘The Scaffold’ features the work of; Sid White-Jones, Anastasia Freygang, Agatha Smith, Alessandro Schneider, Steff Jamieson, David Barreiro, Sam Creasey, Liz Blum, Ignacio Barrios, Matthew Wilson, Natalia Symonowicz, Nemo Nonnenmacher, Nina Fraser, Poppy Lekner, Caroline Areskog Jones, Yambe Tam, Ruby Wroe, Nick Scammell, Thomas Beck, Victoria louise Doyle & Alexander Duncan.
