My exhibition ‘Still Life Works’ took place this Spring at the Fishslab Gallery in Whitstable, Kent. The exhibition ran from the 22nd - 28th March from 10:00 - 17:00.
I had come to know the Fishslab Gallery rather well, having previously assisted the wonderful documentary photographer Cara Macnally with two exhibitions of her ‘Dimenticato in Italy’ series at the gallery, so I couldn’t think of a better place to exhibit my still life works for the very first time. More of Macnally’s work can be found on her website here.
“The Fishslab Gallery gives artists and collectors the opportunity to display and view new work every week. It provides a stylish gallery space in the heart of Whitstable where artists of all kinds show and sell their work at really reasonable prices accessible to those who visit.” - Tripadvisor, 2019.
The show featured a selection of my still life images, taken between 2017-2022, printed on archival photographic paper and housed in beech wood tray frames. Also on show was a larger collection of loose Giclée prints and a range of postcards. All of the works on display were available for sale during the exhibition.
It was wonderful to get to talk to everyone who visited and to meet so many artists, both local and further afield and I wish to thank all those who came through the doors during the exhibitions week-long run.
The Fishslab Gallery can be found on 11 Oxford Street, Whitstable, Kent, CT5 1DB and is open Wednesday to Monday from 10:00 - 17:00 with Tuesdays hours dictated by the exhibiting artists due to exhibition changeovers.
