In January I exhibited a selection of fine-art photographic prints from my series ‘Transference’ (2018) as part of ‘The Art of Watching Art’ at Motion Sickness Project Space, Cambridge.
My photographic series ‘Transference’ (2018), was one of eleven works on show. “Inspired by research into liminality, Transference presents a study of the often-unobserved interiors of public spaces. Identifiable to all yet unremarkable, these spaces become a metaphor for the many changes in lifestyle that occur with progression.” (See more from the project here).
’The Art of Watching Art’, was a group exhibition curated by Sarah Strachan and Stepanka Facerova, working as creative duo Itiswhatitis. The curators of the exhibition aimed to highlighting the role of the art watcher to provide visitors to the exhibition an insight into the life of an artist.
The exhibition featured the work of eleven cross-disciplinary artists including; Ana Dias, Sylwia Dylewska, Stepanka Facerova, Beeny Harwood-Purkiss, Patricia K Kelly, Chris Koster, Jessica Leach, Adrian Novac, Bruna Pereira-Fernandes, Sarah Strachan & Sid White-Jones.
‘The Art of watching Art’ ran from the 14th January until the 26th January at Motion Sickness Project Space, Cambridge, with a private view held on the 15th January, from 17:00 - 21:00.
